'Villenueve - Before the Drought Broke'

Fine Art Giclee Print on 310gsm Archival Paper

210 x 297mm (original size - print is A3)

Drought is a constant threat on the grasslands. This image of trees at VIlleneuve, shows a spot at the northern tip of Lake Somerset - the northern lake of the two large lakes that lie in the Somerset region. The sparse foliage and dead trees of drought have since given way to life as the rains came, breaking one of the worst droughts in this area. There is a moon rising over the landscape, and the pastel hues of the sky and mountains belie the heat of the day - a dichotomy I quite enjoyed.
