'Flow (Fragment VII)'

This work is based upon my reflections on current world events, as humanity struggles with a collective existential crisis. Are we 'going over the edge'? Are we looking where we are going, or have we turned our backs to the future, and instead seek to look only back at what pleases us? Did we throw the oars overboard on purpose, or did we simply lose grip of them? Are we even aware that our oars are lost, or indeed, do we even know of the future ahead of us? Is the young girl in the boat bound and imprisoned; is she looking skywards beseechingly, or is she calm and relaxed and surveying her view?
