'Floating Land'
Fine Art Giclee Print on 310gsm Archival Paper
297 x 420mm
On warm days when the weather is still we take the kayak or the canoe and we head out on the water. We paddle along the lakes or the river and enjoy the peace and quiet, and watch the incredible bird life, turtles and fish that call the waterways home. This rather curious finger of land was jutting out into the Brisbane River on a stretch just north of a spot called ‘Barney’s Rocks’. I don’t know who Barney was, but he sure did have a good spot! Here at the confluence of a side stream, the land looked as though it was floating on an irridescent sky, and the stillness and calmness it portrays immediately caught my attention.
