'After Rain'

The muted blue of the D’Aguilar Range caught my eye as I was driving by on a late summer afternoon.  Long after rain passes through the Somerset region it lingers on the range that separates the area from the coastal fringe. The lemon yellow thunderheads carrying the storm out to sea picked up the afternoon sunlight, while the drifting overhead clouds hold moisture. The diagonal of the tree-lined creek was an integral part of the image.
